Oyster Run

Sean and I all geared up and ready to pull out of the driveway!

Sunday morning we revved up our Harley and joined the largest motorcycle run in the Pacific Northwest. We met friends Matt, Shannon, Leslie & Mike for breakfast at Patty's Eggnest in Mukilteo bright and early. From there we rode down to the Mukilteo ferry. I'd been told there'd be a ton of bikes down there, but I had no idea how many there'd really be! We loaded the ferry, and the entire ferry was full of motorcycles and only 3 actual cars. It was unbelievable! The sound of all the motorcycle engines roaring was deafening. It was such a thrill!
We rode thru Whidbey Island and stopped to pick up others to join us along the way. Sean and I had a little spill as we turned onto a gravel road at the Sherman farm and I landed on my butt before I even realized what happened! Being the road warrior I am, I could only laugh it off, get back on and we continued our trip to Anacortes. The weather was awesome! The ride was beautiful and we had such a blast! Our first time definately won't be the last time.

The holding lanes at the Mukilteo ferry to Clinton.

Just getting on the ferry & off our bikes for the crossing.

Enjoying the ride...just us and the road - not a care in the world!

Quenching our thirst at the Beer Garden!

Living it up at the Oyster Run!

Camping at Lincoln Rock

For the 3rd year in a row, we spent this September weekend camping at Lincoln Rock with old friends from Claims. It was hot & sunny and we had a blast swimming and playing and just catching up with each other. It was so great to see everybody - it's been way too long!

Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Parade

The Joyner State Farm Agency participated in the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Parade on Saturday. We teamed up with another local agent and had a blast! The kids helped pass out candy and airplanes while the rest of us threw out t-shirts, coffee tumblers and water bottles. Having never been actually "in" a parade before, i had no clue how much energy it would take!

Our team had so much fun mingling with the other parade participants and being famous in a small town for an hour. :) Here are a few pics of all the fun!

1st Grade

First day of First Grade! Lake's new Batman backpack!

Today was Lake's first day of First Grade! After he woke up this morning he was watching cartoons and drinking cocoa milk...and his front tooth fell out! I love this picture of his toothless smile and he's holding his tiny front tooth to show it to me.

Sean and I both wanted to be a special part of his first day of school today, so together we took him to school and watched him play on the playground before the bell rang.

And I had to take one more quick pic from the hallway...here's Lake getting settled in at his desk.
