Happy 57th Dad!
Race for the Cure!
For the 8th consecutive year, our family participated in the Race for the Cure. This year, we raced in celebration of my mom and my grandma - both incredibly strong women who recently conquered breast cancer. And we raced in memory of gramma Wanda, an amazing woman who courageously battled breast cancer for years. With pink boobs on our feet, we raced for the cure with all our heart.
Lake's Kindergarten Graduation
Lake graduated from Kindergarten! We are so proud of all that he learned this year! And what an independant little man he's become. Here's a picture of Lake and his best buddy Jesse and a group photo after the kids got their diplomas.
Lake & West being silly with all the balloons they got to bring home from the ceremony. And a family shot of us with our proud graduate! Its unbelievable that a year has flown by so fast! I can totally remember hiding behind the bushes watching Lake get off the bus on his first day of school. And then following the bus for the first 3 days, just to make sure he was okay getting from point A to point B. I just couldnt let go... Lake is growing up so fast! And he's so excited about 1st grade - he is so passionate about learning and reading! Congrats Lake on your Kinder graduation!

Watch me mow!
Sean went golfing this morning and Weston agreed to help me out in the yard. I thought the mower was broken, maybe, when the pull cord wouldnt go further than like 3 inches. So, Weston held the lever down for me, while i pulled with all my might with both arms and when i heard the motor rumble to life i was hooting & hollaring and West was giving me high 5's! Who would have thought that mowing the lawn could make a girl feel so empowered. Of course I think I stalled it out a handful of times...and couldnt have been more relieved when Sean arrived home, just in time to "finish" for me. :) West was my big helper! Without him, I never could have gotten that mower started.
Here are a couple of pics of West helping with his own mower and of Sean and West finishing the last half of the lawn.
I am woman, watch me mow!
